Teresa (Imm) Rohrs has been an optometrist for 22 years. She was educated at St. Louis Catholic School in Custar, Ohio. She graduated from Patrick Henry High School and attended The Ohio State University from 1991-1995. She graduated from Illinois College of Optometry in 1999.
She currently is a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Deshler. She volunteers as a Realeyes presenter where she teaches local school children the importance of caring for your eyes so they last a lifetime. In 2013, Dr. Rohrs started Putnam Parkway Eyecare in Ottawa, Ohio after spending 12 years practicing at Shawnee Optical in Lima and Deshler Optometry. Much of her family reside in the Ottawa-Glandorf area. Dr. Rohrs is married to Scott Rohrs who works at Freudenberg NOK in Findlay. They have 2 children, Lauren 19 and Ethan 17.
Dr. Rohrs has a passion for treating children with vision related learning problems with vision therapy and myopia management to help prevent the dependency on glasses. She has been interested in vision therapy and worked in eyecare for a very long time starting at the age of 15 where she worked at her local eye doctor’s office. She started doing vision therapy with kids while attending The Ohio State University.
Her other interests include treating dry eye syndrome, fitting multifocal contact lenses, foreign body removal, cataract and lasik surgical co-management, and diabetic and glaucoma eye care.
In her free time, Dr. Rohrs enjoys boating, fishing, and attending sporting events with her family. She also enjoys fitness, dance, and travel.
