Dr. Darcie (Laubenthal) Jerwers is a native of Ottawa and joined Putnam Parkway Eyecare in 2016. Upon graduating from Ottawa-Glandorf High School she attended The Ohio State University for her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She graduated cum laude in 2012 with a doctorate in optometry. After graduation she worked in Lima and Bellevue, Ohio for four years before moving back home.
 

Darcie is a member of the American Optometric Association, Ohio Optometric Association, the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
 

Darcie provides comprehensive eye exams along with contact lens fittings and has a special interest in dry eyes, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease management, children’s eye development and vision therapy.
 

Darcie and her husband Kent currently reside in Ottawa with their children, Karter, Peyton and Reed. Outside of the office Darcie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, boating and being outdoors.
